Community update for our High Desert members: Social media reports regarding Glock listings on the California Handgun Roster are confirmed!!!
The California Department of Justice has officially updated its Roster of Certified Handguns, adding the newly compliant Glock 43X CA. Following legislation that restricted standard retail sales of earlier Glock variants, this new model was engineered specifically to meet state mandates, incorporating required features such as a loaded chamber indicator, a magazine disconnect mechanism, and a manual safety.
For local buyers, this means you will soon be able to purchase a factory Glock 43X directly from licensed dealers without paying the inflated premiums typical of off-roster private transfers. For local sellers and dealers, inventory pre-orders are already underway, with shipments anticipated to reach California gun shops in the coming months.
Always verify current roster status and compliance rules directly with the California Department of Justice before buying or selling.
